Behind the scenes of me working as a Disabled Sports Photographer , I do other things and this has taken a while to finalise.
I am now a proud member of the South London Partnership covering the following 5 boroughs , Kingston Upon Thames, Croydon, Merton, Sutton, Richmond upon Thames
I answered a call as a result of networking about a year ago for people from businesses to go into schools to show and tell them about real life businesses. I am a creative business eg Sports Photography, So I will be going in to various schools for a 1 hr session to show them my work and talk about how to start a photography business. There is another work shop in preparation as it evolves into a 3 hr real task scenario for the kids to make a 1 page mock up of a game in real time. Watch this space for news.

During the talk I will show them the 2 magazines (more on the way), my photography and its not just sports including travel, landscapes etc I have made for disabled sports and explain that there are jobs within the magazine market, eg Photographers, Reporters, Magazine Design, Editorial, HR, Sales and more as I expand.
I did go to a school presentation where they were pushing the Coders/Website developments and the standard corporate type jobs. I said hang on we need designers (many disciplines), photographers to creatively think about different solutions that Ai cannot handle at present. If we don’t have this side to the equation, then our buildings will not look nice, the things we use every day in our lives will not look elegant, and the list goes on. This is where I sought out potential opportunities to go into schools and say YES there are alternative we need to consider and not stare in front of a screen all day to build an app or website that we may or may not use.
The question is could Ai detect when a photo is powerful or at the pinnacle of action?. For now, as I have have asked AI to generate some images and they often give people 3 arms so no for me. So how can it track all the action in a wheelchair basketball games what is important, or that powerful shot of the two people on my magazines that is away from the field of play?, that I happened to see out the corner of my eye?
So for now these action and emotional shots of real life are safe – Phew!!
So going into the schhols I have to do this for free, why well there is no funding from anyone I know for now and the schools don’t have the funds for me. So I am looking for partners who can help me promote an anternative type career to these kids and get them on to relevant courses or work experiance eg Apprentiship. I want them to think outside the box when it is your career and life. I want you to be happy and enjoy getting up at 6am to go and do something useful for humanity.
What careers will they go on, only time will tell.
